The Power of Play: How Drumming Connects Us
Led by Ashley Tisdale
We are biologically hard-wired for rhythm from our heartbeat, to our breathing patterns, to the firing off of neurons in our brain, but people often don't feel like they have rhythm or are too afraid to explore their own inner rhythm and what it has to offer. Active and purposeful music making as a community has the power to put us in touch with a creative force like none other and in turn connects us. Each individual's contribution to the circle is important and valued, regardless of ability or playing proficiency.
In this program, participants will take part in a community drumming experience using drums, percussion, voices, and movement. Ashley Tisdale will facilitate the group to discover their personal musical magic and create rhythmical alchemy. When we create music as a community, it energizes us and synchronizes our natural rhythms to form a unique type of connection. This rhythmical bliss, offers an chance for the community to connect with one another on a completely different level. So please, join us for the Friday workshop. Let the music find you, let the rhythm surround you, share your spirit, and jump into the power of play!
